One of the easiest and most common ways to raise funds with a benefit is to charge for tickets to attend. In exchange, you offer guests entertainment and usually a meal‚ brunch and dinner are common options. You can also host a silent auction to raise funds, or sell things like t-shirts, bracelets, buttons and other accessories to raise money for the charity of your choice. Decorate with Breast Cancer Awareness Colors
Since the color for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is pink, it’s easy to deck out the space you’re hosting the benefit in. Since pink is a popular color for many different types of events, you’ll have lots to choose from depending on the theme you want for the event. From sequins to satin, neon to pastel, there are an array of different tablecloths, napkins, and accessories to create the perfect tablescape. You can also use textured and colored charger plates for the meal, as this adds another layer of the color as well as visual interest. Unfortunately, with charity benefits, many of the guests have been personally affected by the disease they are raising money for, and breast cancer is no different. Setting up a place for guests to write down their well wishes for others who have been affected, or to memorialize loved ones they’ve lost is a good way to create a sense of togetherness and garner empathy among everyone in attendance.
