I love spring, but I love the holidays even more. First, I got my Irish on for St. Patrick’s Day, and now I’m really ready to ring in spring with an Easter extravaganza. I’ll be inviting some of my closest friends and their kids over for a sweet Easter Dinner party. See if some of my party ideas could work for your own get-together!
Decadent Dinner Table
My favorite part about Easter is the delectable dinner. Whether you choose a traditional feast or a potluck buffet, I guarantee your guests will love the selection no matter what. To really tie your dinner table together, make sure you use stylish table linen in bright colors. Leading the pack for this spring? Radiant orchid, of course! The official color for 2014 works wonderfully as a rental tablecloth linen. To round out your decor, you can place egg decorations around the table.
Once you’ve taken the food back to the kitchen and you’ve folded up the table linen, you’ll want to have something planned to keep your guests hopping along. What’s better than an Easter egg hunt? The children will adore this time-honored tradition, and the adults can get in touch with their nostalgic side —some may even want to partake in the quest for those beloved Easter eggs themselves!
After all the fun and games you’ll be having, your guests may be, well, a little ravenous (rabbitenous, even!). To quell their stomachs so they can keep the party going, you might want to have a snack table waiting for them. Simply spread out some more radiant orchid rental tablecloth linen, and fill the table with delicious goodies. Balance your snack table by offering sugary goodies alongside healthy options. Coming up with your Easter dessert options will be easy; think pastel-iced cookies, bright pink Peeps and, of course, carrot cake.
As for the good-for-you goodies? Carrots, naturally! Just make sure you leave a few behind for the Easter bunny in case he makes a surprise visit.
Deviled eggs can also be a great addition to your healthy, festive food selection. Want to make a real statement? Before filling your hardboiled egg whites with the delectable yolk filling, drop them into various glasses of food coloring for a minute or two. This will give you eggs transformed into soft colors—perfect for an Easter party! These pastel colors will create cohesive look with your neutral table linen and glitzy overlays, too.
Take Home Treats
Want to leave your guests with a sweet gesture? Prepare some Easter baskets. These aren’t just for the kids anymore—they’re thoughtful ideas that guests of all ages can appreciate! Fill your baskets with Easter classics, like chocolate bunnies and colorful jellybeans, as well as some personalized touches all your own.
