Mazel tov! Your son, daughter or close family friend is about to go through the bar/bat mitzvah rituals. To celebrate this momentous life occasion, why not throw him or her a party?! A bar/bat mitzvah celebration will really show how proud you are of this accomplishment. I have some ideas for your bar/bat mitzvah menu, entertainment and rental table linen to help make the planning process a little easier. Follow my suggestions for a day that everyone will remember!
Like any good celebration, bar/bat mitzvahs need to have an excellent selection of food, both of traditional and nontraditional favorites. Start out with tasty appetizers, like baby lamb chops, stuffed mushrooms, and mini-burekas, and then follow with the first course options of the meal. These could include anything from salads (like spinach with roasted pears and goat cheese) to soups (like matzah ball) to breads (like pastries). Next, move onto the entree portion of the meal. Here, you can provide multiple options to cater to everyone’s diet specifications. Entrees like ricotta gnocchi with truffles, baked chicken breast in mushroom sauce and rib-eye steak all make good picks for bar/bat mitzvah celebrations. For a sweet end to the meal, you can create a dessert table (decked out in a beautiful rental table linen and runner, of course!) to serve up a mix of both elegant and relaxed options for guests, including chocolate babka with mascarpone, truffle sundaes and vanilla ring donuts.Want to add even more to your menu?Consult with your caterer for suggestions.
While bar/bat mitzvahs are for honoring an important life milestone, they’re also a time to have fun! Today, more planners are even incorporating DJs to give their parties an extra touch of pizazz. You can also bring in your own fun with a karaoke machine. To document the day, hire a photographer, or you can invite guests to take their own photos and share them on Instagram for everyone to enjoy!
Rental Table Linen Designs
Because your menu is so lavish, you’ll want refined rental table linen to match. Out of all the looks I’ve seen for bar/bat mitzvah, I’ve really loved how many people are choosing to use table runners as the main piece in their table designs. The look may be unexpected compared to the traditional tablecloth, but a single table runner looks stunning and stylish. Of course, you can incorporate other rental table linen pieces with your design, too. Round out your tablescape with accessories like lace-covered candleholders and bright florals in unique vases.
