Host a Fabulous Fourth of July Party

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It’s the perfect time to relax and enjoy time with family and friends—and celebrate your pride for the red, white and blue! Want to throw a Fourth of July party of your own? Follow my guide on rental table linen, food and fun for a day your guests will always remember!

Table Linen Ideas

A Fourth of July party is the perfect time to use rental table linen—and your options are almost endless! You can use a red linen paired with a white runner and blue accents, like glass chargers or napkins, or vice versa. Don’t be afraid to try patterns, too! A striped blue tablecloth looks gorgeous with a solid red table runner. To add to your decorations, incorporate small American flags throughout your venue. They will totally tie your entire decor theme together!

For your meal, start by grilling up some Fourth favorites, like hamburgers and hotdogs. Of course, you can have your guests pitch in with the meal, too. I’ve always adored Fourth of July parties done potluck style, where guests bring entrees, sides, desserts and drinks. That way, your guests can enjoy all of their favorites! For dessert, you can keep the selection simplified, too. In addition to whatever your guests bring, you can whip up some classics like Rice Krispy treats, white chocolate-covered strawberries and apple pie. Make your buffet-style food selection shine by spreading it out on a rental table linen adorned with a stylish table runner.

Introducing colorful decorations, a fourth of July party includes a festive meal and games.

Include Fun Games for Your Guests

As you plan your party, remember to include some games and activities for your guests. After all, what’s Fourth of July without a little fun?! Games like ring toss, croquet and horseshoes are always crowd-pleasers. You can also set up fun games, like Fourth of July word search or crossword puzzles. Because it’s the beginning of July, the weather is most likely going to be warm. Take advantage of these hotter temperatures by planning water balloon fights and setting up the Slip-n-Slide for the younger guests. If you have a pool, everyone will love taking a quick dip after dinner!
