Décor & Table Ideas for Spring Weddings

One of the best things about a spring wedding (aside from marrying your beloved, of course!) is that the world is in full bloom, and you can take your pick from the gorgeous color palette that nature has to offer. Here at BBJ Linen, we have helped countless clients design the spring wedding of their dreams, and we can do the same for you!

Color Palette and Table Design

It almost goes without saying that a spring palette can include just about any color you want, but our favorites are lovely pastels combined with pops of a brighter hue, such as turquoise, fuchsia or kelly green. In the tablescape featured in the photos, we used our White Lamour Table Runner with our new Gold Alkaline Napkins. As you can see, our client chose gorgeous floral-print china, crystal stem glasses, and flower arrangements with pops of peaches, pinks and bright greens. These colors compliment the white and gold hues, resulting in a luxurious, romantic and sophisticated look. Read on for more spring wedding trips, ideas and details!

You know what they say about April showers! If you’re getting married in the spring, you can hope for fair weather, but it doesn’t hurt to adjust your wardrobe a little in case of rain. A tea length dress is an elegant choice, and it won’t be affected on wet ground. And don’t forget to pack your rain boots! I’ve seen several brides rocking their wellies with their bridal gown and it’s adorable. Check out a cute vintage inspired look here.

For him, a seersucker suit with a bow tie (perhaps matching the color of your bouquet?) would look quite dashing. It will keep him cool if the weather becomes unexpectedly muggy. The same goes for your bridesmaids: Depending on how formal your wedding is, choose a fabric that is lightweight and breathable, such as chiffon. That way, the girls will stay cool and comfy throughout the day.

A few color combinations we love for bridesmaids’ dresses and flowers: pastel pink and green, cobalt and yellow, a rainbow of pastels, blush pink and white, or a emerald green and pale blue.

Flowers: Anything Goes!

Spring is the perfect time for finding just about any flowers you want. And no matter what style or colors you choose, you really can’t go wrong. You can try accenting a pale bouquet with a vibrantly printed ribbon. You can have your bridesmaids carry baskets of flowers for a rustic touch. Wildflower bouquets give off a just-picked feel, and all-hydrangea bouquets pack a punch without breaking the bank.

Ceremony & Décor

From hanging lanterns to lush flowers, I can’t think of anything more romantic than an enchanted garden ceremony. Just make sure you have tents or umbrellas on hand to shield guests from the sun. You can add a touch of glam to the outdoor space by adding an archway and hanging a crystal chandelier, or bring the outdoors in with a gorgeous cherry blossom arrangement.

No matter how you set the scene, a spring wedding spells true romance. What do you have planned? Have you been to a wonderful (or not so wonderful) spring wedding? Share all the details in comments below.
