A wedding is supposed to be fun, right? Well, sometimes during the planning process, brides tend to get a little overwhelmed. Trust me—I know how stressful planning a wedding can be! Don’t worry, though! I’ve provided some of my favorite tips for making sure your big day is as enjoyable as possible!
Consider the Size of Your Wedding
Some brides are more than happy to invite almost everyone they’ve known throughout the years, while others are more about keeping it subdued and personal. Before you begin planning, consider what size you want your guest list to be. This will help you determine everything else—how much food you need (and maybe even what kinds), how many tablecloths you’ll need to rent and more.
Ask for Advice
When it comes to planning the details of your wedding, like the caterer, DJ, florist and rental table linen company, you may be overwhelmed by so many options. This is the time when you’ll want to ask for the opinion of those you trust most! Ask your best friend who made the awesome chicken dish for her big day, or your cousin who arranged those beautiful peony bouquets. They’ll be more than happy to share their wedding-day successes—and what to avoid—so you can be assured your day goes smoothly.
Hire a Wedding Planner
If you can fit one into your budget, a wedding planner can take a lot of stress off you for the big day. Consider whether the investment in a wedding planner is worth the time you would otherwise have to spend planning the day yourself. Even if your budget won’t allow hiring someone for the whole wedding planning process, at least consider getting help for the actual wedding day to make it as relaxing as possible for you.
Be Smart with Your Tablecloth Rentals
Even if your wedding is an intimate size, you probably still have a decent number of tables that you’ll be using. For larger gatherings, you may have much more. Buying table linen can quickly get expensive. Rental tablecloths, however, cost much less and can be shipped directly to your location, saving you valuable time.
Whether you’ve only been thinking about it for a few months or ever since you were little, your wedding is one of the most special events of your life. This is your big day after all, and you owe it to yourself to have a good night! Make your rounds of greeting all your guests, and then make a beeline for the dance floor to have the best time you can!
