Sustainability

BBJ Linen may be known for our product, customer service, and quality, but we also recognize our obligation to leave a smaller footprint on mother nature. We focus on our green initiatives with our boilers, energy-saving methods, and the elimination of natural gas in many aspects of our business. Below are a few activities we’ve put into practice to sustain our green initiatives.

Water Conservation
PH Control System-The strict control of the PH level that is discharged into the sewer system minimizes any potential damage to the municipal system and reduces the energy required at the municipal treatment plant.

Energy Conservation
Heat exchangers capture energy from hot water as it leaves our washers and warms the incoming cool tap water for the next wash cycle. This changes the temperature by 40 – 50 degrees thereby reducing our use of gas and electric, as well as reducing the load on the municipal treatment plant.

Recycle and Reuse
BBJ uses biodegradable plastic bags which reduces the landfill load, has an 8-month shelf life, and is 100% recyclable.

Non-Traditional Venues

Going with a non-traditional venue allows event planners to push their creativity and talents to the extremes. With a higher demand for unique and memorable experiences, event planners need to think outside the box to create that one-of-a-kind event experience. Think warehouses, art galleries, farms, movie theatres, and more. While searching for a new unique location, be sure that it matches the event goals and overall event mood. Also, consider that unconventional venues can come with their own set of challenges, such as lack of power supplies and providing internet connections.

Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and inclusion go well beyond race and ethnicity. It includes age, gender, physical ability, religion, language, allergies, and more. It’s essential to keep in mind that there is more than one type of attendee when planning an event. 2020 will bring higher expectations to celebrate diversity and being inclusive.

Monochromatic Coordination

As social media continues to rise in popularity, so will the stakes for an impressive creative design. Event professionals have to create not only functional events but also visually appealing ones. Monochromatic color schemes offer the best of all worlds. Ease of coordination while delivering the next level wow factor. Typically, there would need to be purposeful common threads throughout a design to ensure that the entire look ties together. With monochromatic designs, the work is done for you. BBJ Linen offers an extensive collection of all color schemes to help complete your event design.
