Due to our future vision and strategic plan for long-term growth,
we are currently seeking a Fashion Patternmaker.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
The Fashion Patternmaker will be responsible for developing and creating patterns for a variety of designs.
They will conceptualize their patterns through drawings, use computer aided designs, as well as work directly
with the designer. Apart from the above mentioned duties, the Patternmaker will also assume
the following responsibilities:
- Translate the drawing of designs into pieces of paper or fiberboard in order to replicate shapes that will serve as pattern
- Maintain open communication with Designer to ensure smooth transition of designs
- Use draping skills to produce the patterns
- Inspect accuracy of sample pattern to ascertain that it follows the original sketch design
- Grade the patterns according to the required range of garment sizes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 3+ years of professional pattern making experience and working knowledge of fashion design
- Certificate or Associates degree in dressmaking or patternmaking is ideal
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models
- Experience with computer aided designs, preferably with Tukatech
- The ability to communicate effectively and work as a team player
